Despite its decline in the ranking compared to the previous edition, Morocco remains well ranked in terms of paying taxes (25th), starting business (33rd), monetary freedom (51st), property rights (58th) and protecting investors (63rd).
The authors of the indicator praised Morocco's efforts to develop investments in infrastructure and industrial development strategies which, according to them, have enabled it to improve its competitiveness and to position itself as a center and hub of business across Africa. On the other hand, these authors have raised some challenges such as the reform of the education system and the judicial system.
