The French Council of Investors in Africa (CIAN) annually publishes the results of the leaders’ opinion barometer in Africa, conducted by the IMMAR Research & Consultancy Institute.
The survey is carried out among 2,426 opinion leaders from twelve African countries (decision-makers in the public and private sectors, the liberal professions, media professionals, influencers, academics, representatives of the civil society) to capture their perceptions and expectations in relation to the situation in Africa, the main issues and challenges of the continent, as well as the countries with the best image.
The CIAN also publishes the results of the survey conducted among business leaders to assess the business environment in their country where they do business through 39 criteria covering the following themes: infrastructure, administration, economy and finance, social, socio-cultural, factor costs, and sustainable development.

Morocco maintains its position as the 2nd best image in Africa with 23% of citations behind South Africa with 40% of citations, and remains leader in North Africa.
Regarding the survey conducted among business leaders to assess the business environment of their country of activity, Morocco improved its score and move up one place to the 2nd position with 3.2 points, behind Mauritius (3.3 points).
