As part CNEA’s capacity-building initiatives, the secretariat has developed a first version of a guide for project managers, in accordance with international standards. The goal is to gradually disseminate the standards of the «Project Management Institute» and integrate them into the internal procedures and work processes within the various project teams of the committee.
It is in this context that CNEA’s secretariat organised on November 10th, 2015 in collaboration with the Commercial Law Development Program (CLDP) of the United States Department of Commerce, an awareness day on project management, for the representatives of the committee's project managers.
This guide aims to respond, amongst other things, to the following needs:
- preparation of the various documents of a project (project briefs, schedule of activities, progress report, etc);
- clarification of mechanisms for the coordination and follow-up of projects;
- project governance and reporting.
