In line with the recommendations of the 2014 evaluation of the Small Business Act’s implementation in the Southern Mediterranean region, the EBESM Project (Enhancement of the Business Environment in the Southern Mediterranean) organised a regional seminar on the governance of the SBA for Europe on 17-19 March 2015 in Barcelona.
This regional seminar aimed at improving the governance of policies and programmes for SMEs, by making reference to Principles 3 and 4 of the SBA for Europe (Think Small First, Public administration responsive to SME needs). As is its custom,
The CNEA's secretariat attended this seminar, which was a great occasion for the participants to inquire about the Moroccan experience in the governance of reforms related to the business environment (public-private dialogue, process of developing and implementing reforms, involvement of the private sector, and enhancement of the country's image abroad). In this regard, the CNEA secretariat also facilitated a workshop dedicated to the improvement of business environment in Morocco.
This workshop, which brought together SME managers a and all the public and private stakeholders concerned, provided a great opportunity for the CNEA members to take stock of its achievements in improving conditions for doing business and simplifying administrative procedures for businesses.
