Under the high patronage of His Majesty King Mohammed VI of Morocco, the National Single Window for the facilitation of foreign trade procedures « PORTNET » organised, in partnership with the National Ports Agency, the African Alliance For E-commerce, the Customs and Excise Administration and other stakeholders in this area, the fifth edition of the international conference on single windows under the theme " the Virtual Single Window for foreign trade, the need for an inclusive collaboration”.
This conference, which was held from 5 to 7 September 2016 in Marrakech, forms part of the efforts made by a broad range of actors from the public and private sectors, to improve the business environment and strengthen the competitiveness of companies through involving all stakeholders: administrations, ministries and economic operators, by sharing the latest trends and creating electronic services to streamline the international trade logistics.
The 5th edition of this conference provided an occasion to discuss the latest innovative solutions, to share experiences and to better coordinate efforts in this area. It brought together hundreds of foreign companies and a broad range of national and international experts and economic operators in the maritime, port, airport, logistics and technological sectors. This international event was also attended by international institutions such as the United Nations, the World Bank, the World Trade Organization, the World Customs Organization, the International Port Community Systems Association and other international federations and associations. On its part, the CNEA Secretariat participated in a panel discussion under the theme "Facilitating trade for a favourable business climate: new levers for single windows".
