The Ministry of Industry, Investment, Trade and Digital Economy can now communicate with the Administration of Customs and Indirect Taxes in a completely electronic way via the National Single Window for the facilitation of foreign trade procedures (PORTNET).
The control of imported industrial products by the ministry is currently done through an information system for files processing. The results of this control are then sent to the Customs Administration via an electronic data exchange system (EDI).
This reform has contributed to increasing the effectiveness of interventions made by the Ministry's control officers, ensuring the traceability of information, strengthening transparency, shortening processing times and reducing the number of movements made by the economic operators.
